THis is the sprocket hub / carrier for the drive sprocket. It fits to the rear axle and takes the large drive sprocket that is driven by from the torque converter.

The sprocket I bought (pre-loved) is a 72 tooth #40 which means it uses a #40 chain. The torque converter was supplied with both a #40 and a #35 sprocket to allow use of the smaller and more lightweight #40 chain or the heavier duty #35.
