Reading a book about How to build a Cyclecar is one, but actual building one is quite a more challenging task. But Tim Gunn was able to do it. And why not, those who know Tim or watch the television show ‘The repair shop’ knows what he is capable of.
Recently, Robert from Gasolini recently visited Tim’s workshop to talk about his 1919 Grafton Cyclecar.

This is Tim Gunns (From the UK's 'The repair shop' TV programme) scratch built CycleCAR. It's built to the plans and methods contained in the 1913 'How to build a CycleCAR' book that has been reprinted and is available via Tims website.

The video features a walk-around of the car and shows in detail the construction methods used, such as the Wire and bobbin steering mechanism and ash framed construction.

The book is a little on the expensive side, once you factor the exchange rate and shipping, but is cheap compared to the price of an original (if you can find one).

The intro for the book on Tims website is also worth checking out. It really shows that building a CycleKART is much like following in the footsteps of those early pioneer CycleCAR builders. Building a simple machine to a set of published plans.
