Material is 6x50mm so also a little too heavy duty. They have three leaves, two of which are usable. I'm figuring that I can weld some mounting eyes to the second leaves which are 600mm long to make another pair of springs. The longer springs could be chopped down and used as 1/4 ellipticals on another build.
Was hoping that these could be a potential source of springs but alas the search continues.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -

Mick I'm thinking probably not. Might have to try and buff some of the scratches out but I like the raw ally look

I have these solid 50mmdia x 30mm discs for the front, they will get recessed into the end of the chassis for a nice round look, and will also support the end of the spring. I haven't cut the shape in yet as I don't want to disturb the chassis until after I start welding.
I made up these 50x10 SHS pieces for the end of the springs to slide in.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -

I'm using a 75 x 25 section for the chassis. I have tapered the front. I haven't welded it yet as I may change my mind on the angle. Doing it all in stainless so for.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream.

This is kinda cool and a bit like the Pembleton T24 in that its a modern take on a pre-war car. The Bentley Blower Junior is an 85% scaled down More ...

The rear axle is an improved version, the wheels are mounted in there natural state with little side pressure required.
Have a close look at the pictures.
It also has thread on the outside to allow for mounting Spinners.
I am very happy with the final result.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream.
